Welcome to this week's newsletter, where I dive deep into the journey of self-discovery and personal growth. In a world that's constantly changing, it's easy to lose sight of who we truly are and what we want to become.

I'm excited to share with you some of the insights I've gained along the way. Whether you're feeling stuck in old patterns, struggling to find your purpose, or simply looking to become a better version of yourself, this newsletter is for you.

Finding Your True Self: A Journey of Change and Growth

Are you connected with yourself? Or are you focused on connecting with others? Or are you living a different identity?

On this path to self-development, it has been an emotional ride, but one thing I am super grateful for and have learned is that I had to let go of myself to find myself.

Letting Go of the Past

Let go of that identity that's not truly yours. You have to let go of these people from the past, situations, because they are no longer important.

Your true identity is going to come from within, who you really are, and once you can embrace change, your true identity starts to show.

It's not easy, since growing up we are taught certain ways of life, people, finances, ways of living, or whatever it could be.

When we actually experience things ourselves, it's not what we were taught.

Shedding Old Skin

You have accumulated a bunch of experiences that shape your way of thinking, how you show up, how you react, how you see yourself and others.

There is old skin laying around you that will itch and irritate you, and it will be uncomfortable. The legend Bruce Lee once said:

like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot.

Water is still water whether it's from rain or ocean. It doesn't matter; water doesn't forget that it's water, it doesn't forget the lessons that it's been taught, but it changes based on its environment.

You are your environment, and you can change your environment. It starts with your mind.

The Power of Thoughts

Everything starts from your thoughts because what you think can lead to what you do, and that will shape your reality.

So looping this back to growing up to what we’ve been taught, you have to abandon those things that don't resonate with who you want to be.

The Journey to Self-Improvement

Becoming the best version of yourself is tough. You will never become the best version of yourself; you will only become a better version of yourself.

But as long as you work towards that daily, you will be better than your old self every day.

That dream, that goal, that vision that you have, you have to chase it daily for yourself every day.

You start to set a standard that is getting higher every day.

But you have to keep moving, and to keep moving, you have to allow things to change.

If you continue holding onto the same things, you will be on the merry-go-round that just keeps going round.

You end up in the same place, same situation, just a different time.

Facing Challenges

Throughout this path of change, I noticed with all the new experiences and lessons I'm receiving, there is still a part of my old self that is trying to cling onto me.

That could be my old habits, triggers and this is just a test.

When you are on this journey to become a better version of yourself and to become successful in whatever area you want it to be, there are going to be tests trying to see if you are worthy of going down this new road, new journey, new life.

For those things, you have to understand where they're coming from.

It's like playing a video game; in order to get to the boss, you have to get through the crowd, and if you fail, you can restart.

Embracing Discomfort

This year has been a challenging year, a ton of it has been outside of my comfort zone, taking on new risks.

Now I am battling with past traumas, emotions, and all these things that make me uncomfortable. It would be easy for me to just quit, but I refuse.

Through this period of time, there is something way more beautiful, and I've already had a glimpse of it, so I can't allow myself to miss out on these experiences.

Staying Present

When you can accept the things that have happened and you stay in the present moment and you continue to move forward and focus on what's important, everything will slowly get better.

But it's so easy to be stuck on nothing because it's comfortable.

Just like your phone, there is always a new update. Sometimes we update our phone and a lot has changed, but there are still some bugs.

But over time, through your consistency, these bugs will go away. If you don't nothing is ever going to change no matter how talented you are or what opportunities you get.

You will always be stuck on that same update that has never changed.

Moving Forward

Life goes on, but it's all about moving forward and building your mindset to take on these challenges.

A lot of people quit because they are too focused on the end result or the beginning.

It's like you haven't been to the gym in a while and the first day of working out feels so good, and then a few days later that high wears off.

Or whatever it is, I want to be this or that, just thinking about the end goal. And yes, when things get tough in the beginning, we quit because our minds are elsewhere.

Once you realise there is a beginning and an end of every day and that every day is a new opportunity for change, every day is a beginning of a new journey and the end of a new journey.

Discovering Your True Self

We spoke about it in a previous newsletter that in order to get new things, it requires a new you, and the only way to get these new things is to dish out the old identity that society has prescribed you with, that it's not you.

You need to find out who you really are, and that's why life is all about trying different things. That's why people tell you to try new activities and new foods.

A lot of things we think we like are actually things other people like, like music, clothes and drinking etc.

But when I started trying things just for myself, I found out that I liked a lot more things, and it felt more real and true to me because I was doing it for me.

Staying Present and Setting Standards

Keep moving forward. You cannot keep getting caught up in things from the past or the future on things that have not happened.

You need to be present.

In this journey, you can't just settle for anything below what you want.

You have your goals, you have your standards and nothing in your life should be below that.

Don't let time fool you; be present in the moment to be better every day.

But if you need some time to put a little fire under your feet, by all means do it if that will help you visualise and help you towards your new identity or goal.

But by all means, you need to understand where you need to change and be open to it, because without change, we are nothing.

Letting Go and Moving Forward

The crazy thing is we know what's holding us back.

The old identity will creep into your mind, but it's up to you to entertain those things, but you don't have to.

So don't if it's not good for you, if it's not fulfilling you, if it's not healing you, don't invest in it.

But if you have to invest in it to survive, always be putting more eggs in your basket.

If it is your dream to leave your work and start your own business, leverage your work but always be putting more eggs in your basket.

If you want to have the most beautiful relationship, heal yourself first, fix yourself first, become the person that you would want to spend the rest of your life with.

Let go of all your past traumas, let go of all the things that have happened to you.

It doesn't mean you don't take the lessons. You always take the lessons with them, but don't allow the past to hold you back.

Don't allow the past to stop you from changing. You deserve better, but you have to allow better to come to you.

Personal Growth and Change

I used to hate where I lived, the area, the country, and more! But I always wanted to run away from my problems, whether that's just catching a flight, getting drunk, or taking drugs. And whenever I did, I would get the high in the moment, but soon realise I would be in the same place at a later day with the same story.

But since I've been comfortable letting go of those things, people, and letting go of that past, I've been able to be present, see more, and feel more in life.

But if you want to change, it's not going to be comfortable.

But when you do change, it's a beautiful thing. It's all about what you want and how you're going to get it.

We should be grateful that we have the opportunity to change to become a better version of ourselves.

Embracing Life's Dualities

I know things aren't always the best, but that's why it's beautiful. There's no left without right, there's no ups with no downs, there's no day without night. It's just life.

If you don't accept the equal and opposite reaction, there's no way to appreciate what could happen.

A Challenge to You

I challenge you to let go of yourself, let go of your past and keep those lessons, appreciate those experiences but free yourself. Free your mind from what has already passed.

Better yet, what you have already left behind. Cut those strings and start flying, gracefully and freely.

Starting now, make those changes. If you want to go on a diet, start now. If you want to go back into the gym, start now. If you want to read or write more, start now.

What if you would have continued to wait? What if you would have continued to wait?

💡 Your Moment of Action
