Ever felt like you’re hitting a wall? Like no matter what you do, things just aren’t clicking?
That moment is what I call the Breakpoint. The moment where you’ve got a choice.
You either keep doing what you’ve been doing or decide to make a shift.
But here’s the thing we often forget a breakpoint doesn’t mean everything is falling apart.
In fact, it’s the exact opposite. It’s your mind and body giving you a sign it’s time for something new.
The Heart of the Matter
I often hit a breakpoint and recently just hit one, building a business while juggling personal and financial responsibilities.
There’s this constant pull to dive all in, but reality keeps me grounded.
The pressure to quit everything and go full-time is real, especially with all the gurus out there telling you to “just do it.”
But here’s where I have to be honest with myself and maybe you do too.
It’s not about giving up it’s about re-adjusting the stride.
When we hit a breakpoint, we often think the world’s about to collapse around us.
But in reality, it’s a sign that we’re ready for change.
The fear, the stress, and the confusion that’s your mind’s way of saying, “Hey, let’s mix things up. It’s time for a change’’
However, life’s not as simple as just walking away from everything.
We have bills to pay, families to take care of, and responsibilities we can’t ignore. That’s where the struggle comes in.
It’s not about taking massive leaps overnight it’s about making small adjustments to your current path so you can keep moving forward without burning out or crashing down.
Your Toolkit for Change
1. Be Honest with Where You Are: Take a moment and really assess your current situation. What are your financial responsibilities? What does your day-to-day look like? Be real with yourself about what you can and can’t do right now.
2. Re-Adjust the Stride, Don’t Stop: Instead of throwing everything away, think about how you can shift your focus, even slightly. Can you dedicate 10 minutes a day to that passion project or side hustle? Those minutes add up and build momentum.
3. Start Small, Think Big: One quote that’s been sticking with me this week is “Start small, think big.” Big dreams don’t mean you have to make big moves all at once. Start where you are, with what you have, and let those small actions compound over time.
4. Trust Yourself and Your Process: The breakpoint is scary, but trust that it’s leading you somewhere better. You’re not in a rut; you’re on the verge of a breakthrough. Trust that every little step you take is getting you closer to the goal.
Making It Personal
Think about where you are right now.
Are you at a breakpoint in your life or career? Maybe you’re feeling stuck, unsure of which direction to take next.
This is the perfect time to pause and reflect.
What needs to change? What adjustments can you make without throwing everything away?
Breakpoints are powerful because they push you to evolve.
So if you’re feeling like you’re in a hole, remember that it’s your brain telling you it’s time for a change.
Why This Matters to You
We all hit breakpoints at different stages in life.
They’re not signs of failure they’re opportunities to grow, shift, and move in a new direction.
Whether it’s in your career, personal life, or something else entirely, hitting that wall means you’re ready for the next level.
When you take a step back and honestly assess your responsibilities, your time, and your goals, you’ll find that making small, intentional changes can have a massive impact.
Your Next Steps
1. Take 10 minutes today to think about where you are right now.
2. Make a list of the small actions you can take to re-adjust your stride.
3. Pick one area where you can start small but think big.
Wrapping Up
Breakpoints don’t have to knock you down.
They’re an invitation to grow, adapt, and get even more intentional about your path.
It’s not about making drastic changes overnight it’s about recognising where you can shift, even just a little, to keep moving forward.
Until next Sunday,
Justin
