Chasing Waterfalls

Do you ever notice how you already know what helps you, but you put it off?

For me, that cure is simple disconnect and get out in nature.

September has been full on. Busy weeks. Full calendar. By the weekend I knew what I needed. Space. Fresh air. Time outside.

The plan was to do a long hike, but the forecast said heavy rain. My first thought was to cancel. Stay in. Push it off.

But then I asked myself: how can I still make it work?

So I switched the plan. A waterfall hike instead. First one I’ve done in the UK outside of Madeira. And honestly, rain or sun, waterfalls are best with weather.

Turns out, it didn’t rain. The sun came out. But it was still exactly what I needed.

A reset before heading into Q4. Hard to believe the year is almost done.

The Heart of the Matter

Sometimes we know what the cure is.

But we ignore it. We let busyness or excuses get in the way.

The truth is simple: do more of what you love.

Because the things that recharge you aren’t optional. They’re fuel for what comes next.

Your Toolkit for Change

  1. Notice what lifts your energy that’s your cure.

  2. Make it non-negotiable, not a nice to have.

  3. If the plan changes, don’t cancel adapt.

Making It Personal

What’s your version of nature?

The thing that resets you. Clears your head. Helps you feel like yourself again.

Are you making time for it, or are you pushing it off?

Why This Matters to You

Because the best way to prepare for what’s ahead is to recharge now.

Q4 is coming. The year is ending. The pace will only pick up.

Doing what you love isn’t escape. It’s strategy.

Your Next Steps

This week, take one thing you love and actually do it.

Book it. Block it. Make it happen.

Don’t wait until you’re burnt out to take care of yourself.

Wrapping Up

Sometimes the cure is obvious.

Don’t ignore it.

Do more of what you love.

Until next Sunday,
Justin
